Setting up your computer: Test your browser

To run FOSSweb, your computer needs to be running a supported operating system, a compatible web browser, and current versions of QuickTime™ and Flash. The Shockwave plug-in is also required for the 3-6 activities and some Middle School courses. If you are using the Middle School multimedia, you can use the Check Browser feature on the entrance page for the course you are using, or use the links below.

FOSSWeb and FOSS Multimedia applications are supported on the following operating systems:

• Windows XP or Vista
• Mac OS 10.2.8 or higher

• Mac and PC Security Updates
  Please note that two new security settings (on Flash Player and ActiveX Controls) could interfere with the use of FOSS CD-ROMS or FOSSweb Flash activities on PCs and Macs. For information on resolving these issues, click here.
