Setting up your computer: Shockwave plug-in

Do you see something here?
Version 10 or later of the Shockwave plug-in is required. If
  • you do not see a message, or
  • the message indicates your browser has an earlier version of the Shockwave plug-in, install the Shockwave plug-in. See below for instructions.
Install the Shockwave plug-in

Click the button below to download and install it off of the web. Select the plug-in for the platform and browser you wish to use.

Mac Users: Do not install Shockwave version 11. You can download Shockwave 10 from the link below by clicking on the Shockwave Player 10 (Mac PPC) link on that page. Or, download it from our site.

If you are using an Intel-based Mac, you must run Shockwave 10 in Rosetta mode:

  1. Quit out of the browser.
  2. Go to your Applications folder and control-click on the browser application bundle.
  3. In the context menu that appears select Get Info.
  4. Under the General heading of the Info dialog select "Open using Rosetta".
  5. Close the Info dialog box.

PC Users: You can install Shockwave 11, but your browser will install additional plug-in pieces the first time you open a Shockwave activity. You must be online to do this. If you have problems with this process, please email support@fossweb.com.

Get Shockwave Player

FOSS does not support the Shockwave plug-in. If you have questions about the installation process or other features, refer to the Adobe website (http://www.adobe.com).

Note: Downloading the plug-in could take about 30 minutes over a dial-up or similar-speed connection.
